Codex Audio has a long pedigree of involvement in live music.
David Lockhart has worked in many venues and with a variety of acts, this gives us a wealth of experience which helps to make what we do special.
2010 has been a great year touring with 'The Animals & Friends' and 'The Rats'.
Lofty worked as Foh engineer/backline tech in
Germany, France, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Romania, Denmark and Sweden.

As foh engineer, backline tech and driver for The Blockheads he worked at
Guilfest, Cornbury, Trowbridge, Quex Park, Strummerfest, Camp Beastival, Willowman and Upton Festival. The Blockheads toured during April and December as well as many one off gigs during the year. Footage from some of these shows can be seen on our video player.

The mp3's below are stereo mixes taken directly from the foh console during shows, recorded on to a compact flash based stereo recorder, mastering was Pc based. Some of these recordings are available directly from the performing artist, All recordings are mixed and mastered by Dave 'Lofty' Lockhart.

The Animals and Freinds with Steve Cropper at the Millfield Theatre Edmonton Septempber 2008, two tracks from this amazing collection of musicians*, House of the rising sun and a Booker T track which I think is called Time is Tight. This recording feed from the console was handled by our new Dolby Lake DLP412 processors.
*John Steel, Mick Gallagher, John Williamson & Peter Barton.

The Muffin Men - The Little House I used To Live In
Recorded April 2006 at 'The Mill Arts Centre' Banbury, Midas Verona. Frank Zappa tribute act featuring Jimi Carl Black. Some very talented musicians, the drummer Tilo Pinbaum also plays on the Mick Pini tracks.

Mick Pini Band - It Ain't easy / Drum Solo
Recorded 2006 at 'The Mill Arts Centre Banbury'. Two Tracks from a real blues master, I saw Mick about six months after I sent the recording of the show to him, 'hey Mick how's it going, did you like the mix', he said 'do you want to buy a cd, it's got your name on', I though I'd better buy one or maybe just give him the tenner to get his teeth fixed. Guitar mic setup, front mic is a sennheisser e609 and I think a shure sm57 on the rear of the cab.

Spank The Monkey - Who Do You love / I Have To Worry
Recorded August 2007 at The Brasenose, Cropredy Festival Fringe, It's amazing what some people can do with a piece of wood and some string. Featuring Paul 'Diamond White' Ashby on the harmonica for the last time, what now for the fabulous four.
Phil Aris - Drums, Andy Tibetts - Gtr, Martin - Gtr, Dave on the Bass
